HOUSING OPTIONS

Homestay

Homestay is a great way for students to culturally immerse themselves into the American and, more specifically, New York lifestyle. In the homestay process, families will open their homes to GIPEP interns, providing them a place to sleep and optional meals. GIPEP highly suggests that students take part in a homestay, as language comprehension will improve tremendously and may help ease cultural adaptability.

Student Residence

On-campus housing offered by GIPEP includes single bedroom dorms, two to three roommate dorms, suite-style dorm single apartments, and two-bedroom apartments.

Off-Campus Housing

Interns are allowed to live off-campus if they so choose. Housing suggestions of hostels and apartments will be offered, however, interns are completely responsible for applying, renting, and financing their own housing. Living costs can be extremely high depending on the chosen location, and finding housing (especially for a short amount of time) can be difficult.
